For as awesome as our pre-grown topiary plants are, we understand that they aren’t for everyone—specifically, customers with a creative side that needs to be given an avenue for expression. Customers capable of creating beautiful works of art from scratch and forming awesome arrangements from a number of pieces. 

Customers interested in carefully making something that the vast majority of the population has neither the talent nor the patience to. For these customers, we have Preserved Moss Squares available for purchase. 

This particular Preserved Moss Square is 16”, the perfect size for use in number of different designs and creations. Its leaves are a radiant and vibrant green, and of course, the plant will last for an amount of time which reflects the careful preservation steps that we take—at least seven years, if the proper care is administered (more on the steps associated with proper care later). 

For current or future customers who don’t know, our preservation methods are some of the most effective and reliable in the industry. We utilize professional, carefully regulated heat and humidity in our studios, to dehydrate our plants and accordingly improve the amount of water which they intake. From here, we administer an FDA-approved glycerin solution, which facilitates the preservation of the plant. To improve the hue and color of our plants, we also integrate carefully selected, FDA-approved (once again) food colorings, in certain instances. 

And the results speak for themselves—a perfect example of these results can be found here, in the form of the 16” Preserved Moss Square. It looks excellent, is incredibly vibrant, and will of course last for a very long time. Its leaves are wavy and easily moveable, and whether you are thinking of molding the square into a specific form or shape, or leaving it as it is, you won’t have a problem. 

There are some general maintenance rules related to our preserved topiaries, of course. Although they aren’t overly difficult or complex, they will work to assure that your plant’s life cycle is as long and healthy as it should be. Basically, don’t water your topiary or expose it to direct sunlight, as these things will damage it. Also, don’t store it outside, as animals and insects will target it. 

However, it is a good idea to occasionally dust the plant, using a feather duster or a can of air (from at least two inches away). As was said, adhering to these simple and straightforward steps will maximize the lifespan of your topiary plant, and in this case, your moss square.
