Viburnum sargentii Susquehanna

Viburnum sargentii Susquehanna
Viburnum sargentii Susquehanna
Japan. Introduced by the National Arboretum in 1966, this large shrub remains a garden favorite. The flat, flowers are similar to those of hydrangeas with tiny, fertile flowers in the center surrounded by larger sterile flowers. An ideal candidate for adding to moss animal topiaries. The large, green, maple like leaves turn astonishing shades of yellow and red in the autumn offering an exciting contrast with the scarlet fruits. Because of its size, Viburnum sargentii Susquehana is easily shaped into a small tree by removing lower branches. Seasonality is Spring. Measurements are around Up to 15 feet x 10 feet Colors are White flowers Hardiness Zones: 5, 6, 7, 8
