Philadelphus microphyllus Charles Price

Philadelphus microphyllus Charles Price
Philadelphus microphyllus Charles Price
Our friends at Xera Plants received this Mock orange from garden designers Withey and Price, Seattle area designers who found this plant in a garden they were redesigning. As a tribute, it has been named after the latter. Originally hailing from the mountains of the Southwest from California to New Mexico, Philadelphus microphyllus is a dry land species. This selection has proven successful in our Northwest gardens. Because of our dry summers, we are always looking for low water shrubs and Philadelphus microphyllus Charles Price certainly meets that criteria. An ideal candidate for adding to moss animal topiaries. The small leaves have fine hairs on their reverses. The shrub is densely branched with red brown young stems. Because it blooms on the previous year's wood, be careful in your pruning because you do not want to miss the amazing fragrance of the half inch flowers. In our no water bed, the shrub has only reached a little over 3 feet. Seasonality is Early and mid summer. Measurements are around 6 feet x 3 feet Colors are White flowers Hardiness Zones: 6, 7, 8, 9
Price: $25.00
